Two and half years ago, a group of 40 MLA's from Shiv Sena were given an option;
Take 50 Crore each (Pannas Khoke) and split the Shiv Sena or go to jail in cases that would be filed if they refused the offer.
All the 40 MLA's were shown their files that were ready with the ED, if they chose not to split.
Eknath Shinde had then said that his government will last the entire term and no court will be able to do anything as he was being backed by very powerful people (alluding to Modi and Shah).
True to what he had said, 30 months later, even the highest court of the country, did not remove the government it called illegal in its own order.
Under normal circumstances, such an act, of giving people a Hobson's choice is called Black Mail.
What Modi/Shah have been doing is nothing other than black mail. They allegedly are having dossiers on all the corrupt people in the country, including their own leaders and party men/women. That is why there has been no rebellion within the party to their high handedness.
For all that you know, they might be having such dossiers on the judges too.
That would explain why the SC, even after calling the Maharashtra Government illegal, refused to remove it from power and played passing-the-parcel with Maharashtra assembly speaker.
It is now for the public to ensure that Eknath Shinde and his associates, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar (the 1000 Crore Irrigation Scam tainted) are thrown out of power.
If that does not happen then blackmail would have won the day.
