Here are fifteen top reasons why India will never become a manufacturing hub for the world;
- Expensive Power, expensive fuel (petrol and diesel) due to high taxation.
- Expensive Manpower, coupled with poorly skilled manpower.
- Expensive Land.
- Poor Design Facilities
- Heavy Taxation.
- Rampant Corruption top to bottom. Local Politicians and Goons too. Agencies being misused for extortion and forcing people into paying bribes.
- High Finance costs and corruption in getting finance.
- Expensive Raw Material.
- Crony Capitalism.
- Bureaucratic Red Tape.
- Poor Policy Framework.
- Industrialists and Businessmen being looked as source of loot.
- Expensive Logistics and Warehousing Costs.
- Poor Management Policies.
- No External Focus and no attempt to serve the world.
There are other reasons too but to my mind these are the top 15.
